A white-hot marketing agency needs a white-hot strategist to head up its account group focusing on brand identify and design strategy. If you feel right at home at the center of the action, and if you’ve got your head and heart in the strategy game – not just at the campaign/execution level – we definitely want to hear from you.
This is all about client advisory and guidance, at the strategic level, driving the client’s business forward. You’ll leverage the body of existing accounts (in such sectors as tech, consumer packaged goods, and finance) to meet and exceed the firm’s top-line revenue and profit goals. You’ll also contribute significantly to new-business efforts as assigned. Perhaps most importantly, you’ll oversee the work of an interdisciplinary account team that carries out client projects, making sure not only that their work comes in on time and on budget but that it adheres to the overall strategies you’ve helped develop.
Hired Gun Profile
The preference here is that you come with brand strategy experience. If you’ve been working just in agencies, you’ll have to demonstrate that you’ve done so at a high, strategic level. That is, you can drive the process, you’re comfortable leading a client, developing brands from scratch, applying an entire vision to a company or product. You’re polished and mature enough to sit down across from CEOs and CMOs – and take up the lead. You know how to build client trust, you thrive on collaboration and relationships, and you love being able to influence a process you happen to be very good at and understand very well.
The truly dream candidate would also be able to boast of account sales experience. If that’s you, don’t leave it off your resume!
As a senior gig with a proven, happening company, this is a juicy opportunity for a brand strategist who’s ready for Phase II of their career.
