A gigantic healthy-lifestyle consumer firm with a strong philosophy of employee retention is looking for an innovative branded content producer/editor to guide their incredibly popular product line into the misty digital realms. In this role you’ll be something of a digital evangelist, a social media maven and a team leader — devising and implementing innovative experiences across all digital platforms, briefing agencies on the firm’s marketing message, directing media brand native content creators, posting to Twitter and Facebook, and serving as an proselytizer for digital methods among your traditional marketing peers.
You’ll be in the Venn intersection of digital media, publishing and marketing communications (BTW: It’s called the Reuleaux triangle). You’ll be working with internal marketing teams to identify the audience, capture the message and then manage external content creators (including folks from digital agencies and media companies’ branded content teams) as they deliver the goods under your supervision. While you may be handling social yourself, mainly you’ll be supervising content creators, not writing the copy. This is primarily a management gig.
You’re a big thinker and you have experience creating digital strategies from scratch. You definitely have a content development background — could be from an agency, in-house or at at media brand on the health and fitness desk. You’ll understand how smart, on-message content gets produced (preferably on-time and on-budget). You are highly collaborative, and very, very ambitious: you’re never thrown by deadlines or when pitching ideas to your boss’s boss’s boss.
You’re great at coming up with inspired ideas that push the envelope, and, as someone with editorial experience, you know how to communicate voice and tone to writers, you can whip up editorial calendars and style guides in your sleep.
