One of the top names in international finance is seeking a project manager to oversee development and rollout of two brand management technology platforms. If you’re a tippy-top product manager with at least five years of experience, and would like to spend the next eight months working for one of the most respected names in investment banking, securities and wealth management, please take one step forward.
This will not be the typical PM role, for two reasons: First, you’ll be overseeing two projects, concurrent but separate and distinct. And second, these are very writerly, communication-intensive roles.
One of the projects is rollout of an internally built application to increase the productivity of MS Office documents. The other is deployment of a vendor-created digital asset management tool for the bank. You’ll be the owner of the management of both projects. You’ll liaise with the external vendor, holding their feet to the fire (nicely, of course) to make sure they hit their deliverables on deadline. You’ll supervise the release management, including project plans, timelines and deliverables for both projects. It’ll also be up to you to manage quality control, user-acceptance testing, and collection of beta-user feedback. You’ll lead team meetings with IT, functional specialists and stakeholders to ensure that both end products incorporate full business-requirement functionality.
It will also fall on you to maintain an intranet website with training manuals, installation instructions and FAQs. You’ll evangelize for the products internally, producing management presentations extolling them and winning over new users. You’ll also communicate clearly and frequently with the development team and with the IT Help Desk to bring everyone up to speed on changes and new features.
Hired Gun Profile
Your project management experience includes a hearty helping of tech PM and a decent chunk of time overseeing the communications and business requirements of enterprise-wide platforms. You’re very well versed in at least one content management system, and hopefully more. You’re a gifted communicator, with an unusual knack for simplifying complexities – perhaps you’ve even worked as a tech writer at some point in your illustrious career. You can’t sit still for long; you thrive on working in a complex corporate environment, in a role that calls for lots of cross-divisional collaboration and relationship-building.
Of course, experience with enterprise systems in a financial services environment will be smiled brightly upon.
For the right high-octane, buttoned up PM pro, this is a stellar way to make a splash at one of the great titans of high finance.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law.
