A top-ranked New York medical center is re-imagining how people interact with healthcare providers and is seeking a designer with a refined visual sensibility and portfolio to match.
Our client launched a gorgeous new patient focused site that lets you find doctors, book appointments, email with staff, and learn more about specialties in the blink of an eye. The tech team has taken over product management and development work streams from the agency that built the new site and mobile experiences. The tech team is driving new functionality required by stakeholders (e.g., department chairs), so the next generation of innovation is just beginning. Don’t worry about having state of-the-art game-changing stuff to build as there will be plenty of it.
They need a designer to make sure the site keeps innovating and stays attractive and easy to use. They will also be innovating against extremely important mobile products. This tech team runs in an Agile/Scrum environment, so having that experience will help a lot (but know that they are also open to anyone who is willing to learn the methodology). You will be expected to ensure the applications and websites are engaging, useful and usable.
Hired Gun Profile
The right Hired Gun for this gig is a design workhorse who thrives on innovation, but also values the stability and cohesiveness of being part of a bigger team. Ideally, you should be passionate about health-care innovation and patient experience. And it’s more than okay to wear your creativity on your sleeve here.
You know how to document design solutions through interface mockups and annotated wireframes but would much prefer to prototype. You’re flexible enough to bend when business or user needs bumps up against your aesthetic taste.
You can be straight laced or have tattoos and nose rings. They don’t care, as long as you’re GOOD (and know how to be a professional).
A great gig for a talented designer looking to leave a mark on a medical center that’s a leader in its field.
