You’ve come up through on the editorial and/or social-media side, developing a good gut sense of how to move audiences, along with the technical and analytical chops that allow you to interpret and synthesize data to help drive decisions. You’ve got enough management experience to set KPIs for yourself and a small team, and hew to them. And you’ve got significant industry contacts and sufficient general knowledge of how things work to be able to establish and maintain profitable partnerships with third-party publishers and platforms.
Finally, you’re a team player through and through, someone who takes great pleasure in reaching across departmental lines to make great things happen. That’s all just part of your general interpersonal awesomeness.
