When you’re running a diversified manufacturing and tech company, you’d better make sure that your employees understand and are committed to your business strategy. To that end, this global transportation and energy conglomerate is looking for a gifted pro like you to design a set of communications programs that will energize the workforce, and clarify the company’s thinking around critical issues.
What the company really needs is a creative, dynamic communications expert to help innovate along the evolution of the employee-engagement communications system, seeing to it that it becomes more aligned with the intricacies of the firm. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer – and working closely with the CHRO, Head of Culture and other senior managers – you’ll help develop key messages and scale their delivery to a varied set of global employees.
Finally, you’ll need to bring your tech chops and develop tools for measuring the impact and effectiveness of internal communications efforts.
Hired Gun Profile
You’re fully committed to the corporate communications field, having put in the better part of a decade there, either on the internal side, external side, or both. Crucially, you’ve proven yourself at global firms to be the kind of star who can create and implement highly effective and engaging employee communications programs. Can’t do any of that, of course, without some smokin’-hot language skills, a familiarity with cutting-edge communication strategies and tech, and an understanding of the use of social media in business.
One of the keys to your success has been your ability to navigate smoothly through large organizations. That means having that rare combination of humility and confidence that allows you to relate to teammates from different regions of the world as well as with senior management – and listening to good ideas from all quarters. You’re easily able manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
The company is looking to really inject some energetic new thinking into its employee engagement communications program, so you’ll have a leg up if you’re ready to throw around some ideas about how you might try to reach a global workforce.
This is a great gig for someone with outstanding communications instincts who’d like to have a lot of strategic influence on a global organization.
