Oh, the internet. It’s a strange place, isn’t it? Full of silliness. Okay, just because that was a haiku doesn’t make it any less true. I mean, when’s the last time you looked at your social feed and said to yourself, ‘The world is full of beneficent, spiritually enlightened beings’? Been a while, huh? Well good news! You can take matters into your own hands in this exciting Social Media Director role for a corporate ethics and compliance consultancy. Intrigued? Then follow me!
Our client has a black belt in CYA. There’s no two ways about it. The consulting work they do in human capital management, education and governance keeps big fish corporations above water and in the good graces of the US Department of Justice. It’s heavy stuff. What’s this got to do with social media, you ask? Well since you asked, our client is looking to use social media to make its voice heard as an industry leader, by creating engaging, relevant content supported by their own language and mission.
As Social Media Director, you will be responsible for constructing the voice with which our client talks to the world! Actually, you’ll be a one-person social media machine. From creating and producing content to managing platforms, you will see the whole process through from soup to nuts. While our client is interested in attracting more followers, what they really need is someone who can create strong processes for the social media program to grow on. Put simply, you’ll be working at a high level and getting your hands dirty at the same time!
Hired Gun Profile
If you are the gun for this role, that means you are a B2B social media extraordinaire. Experience with management and consulting is a plus but not a must. Basically, you know how to make stuff fun that the average person would classify as boring. You need to have a working knowledge of all the classic platforms, and a keen eye for the emerging ones, too. Experience with Hootsuite and HubSpot are a huge plus.
The recipient of this job will get pulled in a bunch of different directions by various stakeholders, so they need to have the ability to say no when appropriate.
If you’re a social pro and you’re ready to get serious, i.e. seriously fun, with a company that does big work, go ahead and hit that apply button.
All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law.
