If you’re a mid-career marketing pro who’s been waiting for just the right opportunity to show itself, wait no more. This client of ours, with roots in luxury real estate, is on such a tear that it’s been successfully expanding into finance, health and fitness, and other realms. It’s seeking a rare marketing talent like you to head up its digital effort, taking a data-driven approach to increase acquisition and retention. Not every day does such an exciting and successful company offer a gig with this kind of career-boosting potential, so don’t sit back and let this one pass you by!
You’ll report to the head of the rentals portfolio, and it’s that portfolio that you’ll support, by leading, developing and implementing the marketing strategy for luxury rental apartments. You’ll manage a marketing staff; supervise creative agencies, web design shops and social media firms; and coordinate with marketing directors around the world. Most of your work will revolve around digital marketing for the existing rental portfolio, but when new properties are built or acquired, of course, you’ll develop individual campaigns to support the leasing effort. What that all entails will be up to you, but one would expect to see new microsites, videos, floor plans and brochures.
Part of your meat-and-potatoes will be running constant data analysis of traffic, readership and content in order to optimize the firm’s digital channels and user experience. Because, oh, yeah: The website targeting renters will be yours to manage and to improve constantly upon. And, lest this all get too virtual, you’ll also dig in on some good old-fashioned in-the-flesh marketing work, planning and overseeing events and property launches.
Hired Gun Profile
You’ve been in digital marketing for a decade now. Brand strategy, social media outreach, e-commerce, online marketing, creation of apps, hashing out marketing programs – it feels like you’ve done it all, and it doesn’t strike you as strange when people refer to you as a thought leader. You’re happy where you are, but you’ve been thinking it might be time for a step up into a senior role, and you feel like the taste of management experience you’ve had so far – setting performance and financial goals and metrics – put you in good stead for moving on up.
You are completely at home in the digital environment, perfectly comfortable with the tools of the trade and uncowed by new technologies. You’re highly entrepreneurial, brimming with ideas, and consummately able to execute. Your written and verbal communication skills are unimpeachable and your integrity beyond question.
Experience in luxury, real estate or hospitality will serve you well here.
If you’re looking for senior-level marketing work at a booming company, it might be a long time before something this good comes along again.
