A multi-billion dollar, well-trafficked media platform is looking for a West Coast Account Executive to build, develop, and service new and existing travel accounts.
You’ll be joining a fast-growing team and playing an integral role in the entire sales process. You’ll use your travel industry knowledge (and relationships) to build trust based on a combination of data-based strategies, high-value audiences, cutting-edge technology, and a deep product portfolio that makes selling fun and interesting for you and your clients.. You’ll work closely with internal teams including research, ad operations, and client services to ensure the delivery of world-class service to the company’s partners. What’s great is you’ll come into this job with an existing captive audience of prospective advertisers that want to spend money with you – aka, you won’t have to build something from scratch, just expand existing accounts. You’ll also get to do strategic sales of premium advertising solutions while simultaneously developing smaller accounts. Plus, you’ll have access to deep data sets that you won’t find at a lot of other companies. In short, this is a rare opportunity to be a part of a high-energy sales organization focused on breaking and accelerating revenue across key categories…for a global company in the midst of a game-changing transformation (think travel-meets-retail-meets-global-media).
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You have a minimum of 3 years of sales and/or account management experience selling digital advertising to a host of travel and tourism accounts ranging from hotels and destinations to attractions, cities and tourism boards.
You have an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record of successfully driving revenue through discovering, prospecting, and creating new business. You can develop, effectively bring to market, and execute complex and integrated partnerships, while simultaneously managing multiple live campaigns with both new and returning clients. You have strong writing skills and you can craft presentations and compelling creative audience stories. You’re a strong negotiator and you can persuade at all levels of an agency or client organization. Passion and knowledge of the online advertising industry is a must. It’s great if you have experience with programmatic, custom content solutions, and have proven consultative sales skills. You feel comfortable working independently, while also forging relationships internally to close deals collaboratively.
