The Hired Guns are seeking a resourceful Associate Creative Director, UX to steer user experience strategy for an esteemed digital agency redefining the landscape for emerging and established global brands.

As Associate Creative Director, UX, you will define and reinvent the digital space for a leading digital agency that is moving ambitious brands (think top four tech and design companies) into new territories. In this competitive market, your role will be pivotal in contributing to the development of digital product concepts and executions. You’ll drive collaborative, cross-team creative efforts for every aspect of a project’s user experience. You’ll be tasked with managing large projects with small teams. who can swoop in and develop information architecture for a variety of digital products. You will be responsible for guaranteeing that all work produced is usable, intelligent, intuitive, and forward-thinking. You will be tasked with effectively communicating research findings, conceptual ideas, and detailed design rationales (both verbally and visually) to clients. You will be expected to participate fully in user testing and to build wireframes and functional prototypes. If you like to get your hands dirty while keeping an eye on overall business goals, then this is the job for you. Note, this role is fully remote, but you must be able to work EST.

How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
Hands down, you’re a visionary with an amazing design sensibility. You consider yourself a creative leader (with 4-12 years of experience), but without the ego. You love to design and execute on big concepts. Perhaps you previously worked at a tech company or in an agency environment. You have the ability to carry a project from ideation phase, to prototype and animation deck, to execution. You have experience using web analytics data to inform design decisions (note, you must have an intermediate understanding of major web analytics packages and SEO strategies). You don’t mind working from the ground up, and you have a knack for bringing teams together under one cohesive vision. You possess recognized expertise in one of the following: advertising, collateral, identity, and/or interactive design. Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels – for both internal and client organizations – are a must. Please have an online portfolio that demonstrates your skills, style, and background.
