The Hired Guns are seeking an ambitious Business Analyst with experience working on the software development lifecycle and impeccable critical-thinking skills to join a high-growth global patient recruitment company. The insights you gather and the business development recommendations you communicate will ultimately drive patient recruitment and retention … and help to save lives.
The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the company and why they need to hire you!
This woman-owned, data-driven company pairs patients with research studies, enabling life-saving drugs and procedures to come to market faster. Every year for the past four years, the company has doubled in size and is poised for even more growth in 2022. To keep up with this rapid expansion, they’re looking for a highly energetic and skilled Business Analyst who is ready to wear multiple hats and take on rewarding work.
In this role you will work closely with the Product Owner to capture detailed business requirements and document user requirements. You’ll run scrum meetings with the engineering team and write documentation and development specifications related to data flow and data validation. You’ll actively participate in the software development life cycle and support testing strategy. Your input will be key when it comes to coverage of test scenarios and conditions in order to ensure all requirements are tested. You’ll also help the tech ops team with configuration and support the QA team at all stages. Whew, that’s a lot, but fear not, work/life balance is paramount at this company … so, save lives, work with great people, and have summer Fridays. Win-win.
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst. You must be comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a startup environment. You are adept at QA work, and you can accurately and clearly communicate business insights and needs. You can prioritize tasks properly and set reliable expectations with other teams (most of the people on other teams have never worked with developers and never worked with software). You must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite with very strong experience in Excel (ability to work with complex formulas and data analysis). You’re familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC), Scrum, and Kanban. Experience with specification-writing for software and reporting is a must. You are confident when it comes to running scrum calls and setting priorities, and you’re comfortable with presentations and demoing software. Bonus points if you have familiarity with clinical trial patient recruitment and retention processes and/or if you have Scrum Master experience.
The Inside Skinny
Why you should quit your job right now and join this organization!
If you’re looking to level up your Business Analyst career and do work that has tangible business impact, then this is the gig for you. Your insights and recommendations will literally help to save lives. Not to mention, this company gives you ample autonomy, growth opportunities, and a generous compensation/benefits package. No-brainer, right?
