Educator-Influencer Wanted for Community Role at National Media Platform
Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year, plus highly attractive benefits
Are You the Missing Piece?
A powerhouse in the K–12 education media space—renowned for its educator-first mindset, impactful storytelling, and culture of digital innovation—is looking for a Community Engagement Strategist to join its all-remote team and help redefine how educators connect, create, and collaborate online. This brand is no stranger to scale: they reach millions of educators with content that’s credible, practical, and mission-driven. Now, they’re on the hunt for a savvy strategist who can blend community engagement, content creation, and tech innovation into something teachers can’t stop sharing.
And that’s where you come in: As Community Engagement Strategist, you’ll help co-lead a groundbreaking Community Engagement Program that puts educator voices at the center, not as consumers, but as co-creators. You’ll get to build and lead a UGC Creator Corps, turning a passionate cohort of educators into trusted contributors. You’ll translate a rich archive of high-quality editorial content into interactive, classroom-ready resources using AI and cutting-edge tools. And you’ll work side-by-side with editorial, product, and design teammates to create digital experiences that genuinely resonate with educators.
If you’re an ex-educator with a knack for digital content, have a substantial social media following, and/or simply possess a deep love for online community building within the educator space, you just stumbled upon your next big career opportunity!
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- Background in (or strong passion for) K–12 education: You’ve taught or worked closely with educators and deeply understand classroom life—and it shows in how you communicate, create, and connect.
- Obsessed with creative community-building: You’ve launched initiatives that blend content marketing with real community engagement—using new platforms, learning what resonates, and iterating boldly.
- Content storyteller with digital flair: Maybe you’ve got a podcast, a blog, or a TikTok channel for teachers. You know what content hooks educators in, and you can craft it with care (and Canva).
- Tech-forward mindset: You’ve dabbled (or gone deep) with tools like ChatGPT, Canva Magic Studio, Gemini, Diffit, and AI content workflows—and love helping others do the same.
- Hands-on and collaborative: You write, edit, experiment, host online events, source UGC, and keep an eye on engagement data to constantly improve. Bonus points if you’ve led or contributed to creator collectives, teacher fellowships, or ambassador programs.
- Event-savvy: You’ve planned or facilitated educator meetups—IRL or virtual—that didn’t just fill space, but sparked genuine dialogue.
- Metrics-minded: You’re not just guessing—you’re tracking. Whether it’s click-throughs, shares, or community participation rates, you use both numbers and narrative feedback to focus on continuous improvement.
You should take this meeting because …
This isn’t just another content or community role. Rather, it’s an invitation to shape how a national education media brand engages directly with the people it serves: teachers. With generous benefits (including 6% 401k match, 3+ weeks PTO, and an annual professional-development stipend), and a fully remote, mission-driven culture, this is your chance to create real value for educators while growing your own career – experimenting, collaborating, and innovating every step of the way.
