We know a hell of a lot of great employers, but our absolute favorite is our own company. In fact, we won an industry award this year for Best Company to Work For. So it pleases us greatly when we’re able to offer a gig with the Hired Guns itself. And this is a fun one: We need an office manager par excellence who can wear many hats, providing concierge-level services in several areas. It’ll require somebody who’s smart, versatile, polished and dynamic. If that’s you, and especially if you’re looking for an entrée into the world of digital talent management, do read on.
Nitty Gritty
The bulk of your duties will center on office management. So we’re talking about things like greeting clients, scheduling meetings (including some between talent and clients), mailing and shipping, maintaining office supplies, tracking keys, coordinating conference room schedules, handling logistics around “speed dating” events, managing equipment, and liaising with equipment supply and service vendors. You’ll also oversee many of our special events, including our holiday party, client and talent gatherings, and off-site meetings. Some portion of your time will be devoted to acting as the company’s liaison with its tenants, communicating office procedures to them, maintaining email distribution lists, and making yourself available to address their concerns.
Finally, you’ll provide support to the CEO and senior management, helping balance time commitments and managing schedules, meetings and conferences, as well as scheduling and arranging travel when necessary.
Hired Gun Profile
You’re the kind of person who exudes competence: whether it’s a new email system, a jammed copier, or a logistical puzzle that’s got everybody else panicking, you keep your cool and get things under control. That gift of yours stems from a deep-seated self-confidence, a flair for problem-solving, a rare organizational bent and an innate courage under fire. And eager? No one quite knows why your parents didn’t give you the middle name Hustle, that’s how self-directed you are. You never find yourself idle, and you take up new tasks willingly. Your phone manner and general demeanor are impeccably polished and professional. You would consider it your place just as much as the CEO’s or anyone else’s to make clients and candidates feel special and valued, and to represent the firm as the top-shelf agency it is.
