Executive Communications Powerhouse Wanted for High-Stakes Consulting Gig
Pay range: $75 to $120 per hour
Are You the Missing Piece?
Are you a slide-slinging, newsletter-loving, deck-devising second brain to the C-suite? Do you secretly (or not-so-secretly) enjoy decoding internal structures to get to “yes”, ghostwriting for execs, and building storytelling systems from scratch?
Then this might just be your dream consulting gig.
This role directly supports a dynamic Chief Digital Officer at a nearly $2-billion publicly traded company. You’ll be the go-to storyteller, strategist, and trusted comms consigliere for one of the most influential digital leaders in media today. This isn’t a “fill-in-the-template” job. This is build-it-from-scratch, set-the-standard-for-the-org, leave-your-mark-for-years kind of work.
If you can decode an entire executive mood from a single eyebrow raise, you’ve got CEO-whisperer instincts—and that’s exactly the second-brain energy this CDO is counting on. Keep reading!
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- 10+ years of internal communications and content strategy experience, preferably at a major public company. You’ve been the strategic voice behind execs at major public companies (Fortune 2000+; 2,000+ employees minimum).
- Ghostwriting for the C-suite. You’ve written as a CDO, CTO, or CEO and know how to nail their voice, tone, and timing in step with their intended audience.
- Fluent in corporate strategy speak. You’ve communicated business priorities and key initiatives to employee-facing audiences and made them feel invested in the organization’s success.
- Matrixed-org ninja. You’ve navigated silos and stakeholders with grace, influence, and a firm grasp on what moves the needle.
- Deck-savvy and newsletter-ready. You think in slides, build clean narratives, and can launch internal newsletters from scratch team members read and look forward to.
- Systems builder, not slot-filler. You’ve stood up repeatable workflows, templates, asset libraries, and editorial rhythms—because ad-hoc chaos just isn’t your style and you don’t wait around to be told what to do.
- Exceptionally high EQ. You pick up on subtle cues, anticipate needs before they’re spoken, and know how to read a room without saying a word.
- Established consultant. Ideally, you’re already operating independently (or want to) and bring the polish, pace, and perspective of someone who’s been brought in to make things better.
You should take this meeting because …
This is a high-impact, remote consulting role that will help shape the future of digital innovation inside a renowned media company. You’ll work closely with a powerhouse CDO, owning how the org communicates with the board, C-suite, and its 8,000+ employees.
If you’re the kind of consultant who thinks in slides, can see the internal comms story three moves ahead, and knows how to turn a technical win into a companywide “hell yes”—then this is your moment. Get in touch with us today!
