The Hired Guns is a talent agency based in NYC that represents top-notch digital and technology people, and we’ve developed a curriculum designed to teach recruiting principles to a variety of professionals. Our Talent Management Training Program will take your experience and mindset and apply it, so that you will learn how to develop and manage talent.
We are seeking a curious, analytical, highly organized individual who’s a fantastic writer to join our company as a Trainee and learn all facets of working with a modern recruiting firm — from candidate identification and outreach, to mastering the candidate journey from initial call to close. This is a three-month paid training program to help you determine if recruiting is right for you. We need someone who can be “all in”. If at the end of the training period, both parties agree that it’s a fit, we will move forward to a fulltime offer to join our team.
Even before the pandemic, we had already shifted to running our company in a distributed working fashion. So yes, you can work remotely from home. And when this crazy time is behind us, you can remain remote. But count on us to find ways to make you an integral part of a close-knit team: we are planning on scheduling work retreats to fun places several times a year and will work to meet up at conferences IRL as well.
The ideal candidate should be …
- Massively self-directed, highly adaptable, crazy curious, tenacious, and innovative
- Someone who thrives working autonomously while also enjoying being part of a team
- A quick study, a strong and persuasive writer, with a data-savvy researcher mind (Excel skills are a major plus!)
- Extremely comfortable with ambiguity, deadlines, and multiple objectives
We are very open to mid-career folks who are currently working in our key focus areas in digital including: Product Management, Engineering, UX, Visual Design and Digital Marketing. And are looking for a new direction. We’d love to meet recent college graduates as well.
A background in digital product management, UX, design, content strategy, social media, digital marketing, journalism, sociology, or psychology would be ideal.
