Director of Accounting Wanted at Global Video Tech Company
Salary range: $140,000 to $160,000 base per year
Are You the Missing Piece?
Do you still love getting into the details of accounting? Can you lead a team without losing touch with the work itself? Have you managed global entities, tackled complex revenue recognition, and kept month-end close running like a machine? If so, keep reading.
A fast-growing technology company is looking for a Director of Accounting who can be a hands-on operator. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit above the work: It’s for a leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and setting the standard for the team.
You’ll oversee accounting operations across eight international subsidiaries, manage and mentor a distributed global team, and partner closely with revenue, FP&A, and executive leadership to help ensure the company continues scaling with strong financial controls and operational excellence. One day, you might be reviewing consolidations and revenue recognition. Next, you’re coaching team members, partnering with auditors, improving NetSuite reporting, strengthening SOX controls, or helping streamline processes across multiple time zones.
The environment is fast-moving, growth-oriented, and highly collaborative. The accounting foundation is already in place, but there’s plenty of opportunity to elevate processes, create accountability, improve efficiency, and leave your mark on a function that’s evolving alongside the business.
If you’re a CPA with deep US GAAP expertise, strong NetSuite experience, and a track record of leading global accounting teams while staying close to the work, this could be the kind of challenge you’ve been waiting for.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- CPA required (or exceptionally compelling equivalent experience)
- Strong foundation in US GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, consolidations, audits, and internal controls
- Experience leading accounting teams while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations
- Deep expertise in managing month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, AP oversight, and financial reporting
- Experience working across international entities and foreign subsidiaries
- Proven ability to lead distributed teams across multiple time zones while creating accountability and ownership
- Strong NetSuite experience; power users, administrators, or optimization leaders will stand out
- Experience partnering with billing, revenue operations, and FP&A teams
- Comfortable supporting SOX compliance efforts, risk assessments, and external audits
- Background in SaaS, AdTech, MarTech, digital media, technology, or PE-backed environments is highly attractive
- Experience with Salesforce and Zuora is a plus
- Strong leadership instincts with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop accounting talent
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating independently
