This print-on-demand startup is growing at a rate of 400% and sits within a well-funded billion-dollar market leader in the personalized products space. This is an ideal white space opportunity for a Director of Business Development who is a builder. This role is 50% vision and 50% execution: You will define go-to-market strategy and build relationships / partnerships that you create. Plus, you’ll be in charge of negotiating commercial terms (forecast, pricing, timelines) and collaborating with internal merchandising and product development teams to inform the roadmap, ensuring that assortment and capabilities meet the demands of the target market. You’ll also conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs and lead the development of lead- and demand-generation strategies. In short, this role is great for someone who thrives at the intersection of business development (pipeline building), strategic partnerships, and user acquisition strategy.
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You have a minimum of 7 years of experience leading business development in a high-growth environment. Biz dev / partnership development experience is a must. You thrive running user acquisition strategy in a B2B environment, finding – and selling – the value proposition across sectors and industries. You are strategic, persuasive, have strong EQ and business acumen, and you’re looking for your next challenge. You possess a commercial understanding and awareness of the POD business from either running your own business, or from having experience in the industry, or from managing new customer acquisition at a director level. It goes without saying that you have excellent organizational and performance analytics skills. You’re open to travel; this role requires 25% travel within North America.
