The Hired Guns are looking for a Director of Talent Acquisition and Development with a sharp eye for superstars and a skill for stewarding talent to play a key role in recruitment and leadership development for our client, a full-service real estate company best known for their luxury properties and immersive experiences across the country. If you’re looking for a company where its leaders truly invest time to hire the best, you’ve found your new dream home. (Our client is open to Fulltime Hire or Freelance for this role.)
You are an exceptional recruiter whose eye for talent has been recognized in each and every company you’ve ever worked in. While you know how to attract great talent — using all the right tricks of the trade, both high-tech and high-touch — you also have a special knack for streamlining the recruiting process, and you know how to build symbiotic teams that work together for emerging growth and Fortune 500 companies. You value entrepreneurialism, and you thrive in a loosely structured environment.
You are as adept at establishing relationships with recent grads and MBA recruits as you are with the C-Suite and all levels in between. You tackle org charts in a single bound and can sleuth through the intricacies of human behavior and management challenges with class. With your track record in successful recruiting at a “best practices” company, you can translate that business-oriented approach to recruiting, leadership development and succession planning.
Day-to-day, you’ll be leading the recruitment efforts for key hires at all levels, from on-campus recruitment to top management positions, in everything from construction management to architecture and asset management to finance. You will establish an applicant tracking system, hone the employee review process and drive training and development across the company. Essentially, you will operate as a business partner to top management with regard to all people-related strategies and initiatives, and identify new programs and approaches to help the company remain leading-edge in its recruitment, management, and leadership development activities.
Finding well-qualified candidates is one thing. Being able to size up talent and recognize who will be just the right fit for this group’s unique culture — which combines entrepreneurialism, professionalism, and a customer-centric focus -– will put you on a whole other level. So prove it in your pitch letter and resume. Extra attention will be given to those who have hands-on experience recruiting in the real estate industry. Front line business experience in real estate, financial services or related fields is also a plus.
This is an exceptional opportunity for the Gun who can exhibit a distinctive group of traits: business acumen, unique ideas and a sophisticated approach to partnering with and counseling executives. Dust off your copy of The Fountainhead, and let’s get ready to rumble.
