This Hired Guns client, one of the most renowned sources for educational material across the world, takes education pretty seriously. To help them spread the love of learning, they are looking for an Email Marketing Associate who can drive visits to their site. (This freelance gig is expected to run for about three months, four to five days per week.)
The Gun we’re looking for is familiar with the email marketing space and eager to learn more. So, whether you learned the ropes in an interactive marketing department or scored an internship that showed you the way, you’re familiar with at least one ESP and know that this is the career path for you.
You’re unfazed by fast-paced environments and can handle multiple projects with ease and accuracy. And your thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access, HTML and SQL helps you stand out from the pack.
As the Email Marketing Associate, your primary focus will be on successfully implementing email data files and HTML email creative for setup and deployment within an email campaign management interface. You will be working with diverse internal teams, including marketing, database marketing, technology, HTML coders, and the creative team, to meet campaign timelines. Translation: you’ll be working as a day-to-day liaison between the ESP, the internal marketing stakeholders and corporate database teams to assist with the execution of email campaigns. You’ll learn the ins and outs of a leading enterprise-grade ESP, as well as Omniture, and gain an in-depth understanding of how email marketing impacts website traffic and conversion.
This leading educational website has a decidedly e-commerce bent, so if you have any experience in this area, be sure to detail it in your cover letter.
For the right Gun, this is the perfect first step in a long and fruitful direct marketing career. So, if you’ve got a strong work ethic and the ability to make the most of a challenging, demanding environment, all while having a great time with a great group of people, this is the gig for you.
