We’ll admit it: for a long time, we thought “recess” was one of the Three R’s. Luckily our client, one of the most renowned sources for educational material across the world, takes education pretty seriously. To help them spread the love of learning, they want an Email Marketing Consultant who can drive visits to their site.
The Gun we’re looking for is an email marketing heavyweight, a veritable expert in email best practices — content strategies, design, A/B testing, deliverability, list segmentation, analytics, performance management, and more. You’ll need a thorough knowledge of email marketing laws, email service providers, and database configurations for marketing. You must also have experience leading the setup, development, testing, and implementation of automated and event-triggered email programs.
As the Email Marketing Consultant, you’ll be responsible for evaluating email marketing processes for the educator channel clients. Your primary focus will be to develop and leverage integrated communication channels in order to achieve system-wide conversion goals, foster engagement, drive visits to the website, and increase purchases in the group’s product and e-commerce sites.
You’ll be working with external email providers and platforms as well as the internal email marketing and corporate database teams to improve efficiency and data integration. Key responsibilities include determining industry trends, addressing and rationalizing frequency and developing actionable recommendations, and assessing current departmental operations.
You’ll perform a needs assessment based on capabilities and resources, lead the development and communication of the client’s strategic plan, analyze and report on key metrics, and establish cross-functional partnerships to develop an in-depth understanding of how email marketing impacts website traffic and conversion.
If your wealth of knowledge and experience in the world of email marketing includes a stint within the education market, that will be a tremendous leg up. And please let us know if you’re proficient in Yesmail and Omniture!
Strategic thinking, email marketing expertise, analytical skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to make the most of a challenging, demanding environment … all while having a great time with a great group of people. Are you the Gun?
