New York’s hottest luxury real estate company is launching an ambitious technology initiative, and they need a detail-oriented Business Analyst to make sure it gets off the ground flawlessly. To be the right Hired Gun for this role, you’ll need killer QA chops, an eye for the smallest details, and experience with B2B enterprise software migrations. Sound like anyone you know?
This real estate titan is implementing a new software product for its resident portal. There are a lot of moving parts in this project, and someone has to make sure everything is double- and triple-checked before it goes live. We want that someone to be you.
As their Business Analyst, you’ll be working across marketing and IT. You’ll be responsible for documenting requirements, evaluating processes, and performing rigorous QA and regression testing as they get this product off the ground. (In fact, they’d be thrilled if you can come in and automate their regression testing.)
They’re working on a monthly release cycle, so timing is critical. You’ll have to work both thoroughly and FAST. Not everyone can do it, but we think you can.
You’re an experienced Business Analyst with a thorough working knowledge of the software development process. Ideally, you’ve done a tour of duty during a major enterprise software migration and a firm understanding of the challenges that arise during that process. You have a keen eye for detail, and since the smallest error drives you nuts, you’re a tireless fixer. You can QA software and processes like no one’s business, and you’ve got plenty of experience with regression testing. In short, absolutely nothing gets by you.
When it comes to gathering requirements, you’re a natural. You’re a skilled listener with a keen ability to identify the stakeholders’ needs. Your outstanding project management skills allow you to keep multiple balls in the air with ease and grace, and you’re not the type to sweat under pressure. You’re a rigorous organizer who uses a range of tools to keep multiple projects moving toward completion.
Can you talk to us about a software migration that you performed QA on? Can you anticipate the snags, delays, and other inevitable hang-ups that occur along the way? If so, call it out in your pitch letter.
For bonus points, tell us about any experience you may have with real estate software like resident portals. It’s definitely not a must-have–but if you’ve got it, be sure to let us know.
If you’re a detail-oriented Business Analyst with software migration experience and a gift for QA, this client needs your services ASAP.
