The Hired Guns are seeking a motivated Full-Stack Engineer to join a mission-driven tech company that provides digital solutions for virtual healthcare, a vital commodity in today’s world!
The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the organization and why they need to hire you!
This mission-driven tech company provides high-quality virtual care for millions of families around the world. Their technology empowers and connects families across the USA by bringing them personalized medical care, no matter where they are. As they scale, they’re looking for a talented Full-Stack Engineer to help drive the expansion of this transformational way to access expertise in specialty medicine. You’ll be working with a gamut of technologies – video, SMS and telephony, payments, automated scheduling, and medical imaging – building out new product features from start to finish. You’ll be responsible for every facet of a feature, from UI/UX design and implementation to back-end database access. You’ll also be tasked with building improvements to performance, reliability, and existing product polish. It’ll be your responsibility to build and improve processes and internal tools to monitor, maintain, and enhance a secure, reliable, and globally-available platform. This is a highly collaborative role in which you’ll help clients and teammates solve challenges by sharing your product and technical expertise.
The VP of Engineering says “Product owns user needs. Engineering owns the solution. We don’t have mandates that come from on high here. We’re looking for someone who is excited and willing to take action.” So, you’re also going to get really awesome leadership! Ready to jump onboard? Yes, you are.
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
Ideally you have 2 to 4 years of experience as a software developer, software engineer, or similar role. You possess deep knowledge of development best practices, including integration tests, code reviews, documentation, and version control (git). You’re a brilliant, well-versed full- stack engineer i.e. you have experience with Typescript, NodeJS, MySQL, and React. It’s great if you skew a little more back-end than front-end. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, and/or IAM is a really good look – while it’s not essential, it’ll make you stand out. You’re highly collaborative and you have a high EQ. While there’s a lot of code to ship, you’re also a great team player, you communicate well, and you’re fun to be around! Not to mention, you’re excited to work for a company where your work has a direct impact on the wellness of others.
