Lead Product Manager Wanted to Build the AI-Native Platform Behind Iconic Consumer Brands
Salary range: $200,000 to $240,000 per year
Are You the Missing Piece?
What if you got to build the Lovable or Wix behind some of the biggest names in culture, fashion, technology, and lifestyle?
This team is the technology group behind a portfolio of famous consumer brands, and it builds AI-first. Nearly all of its code is now written with AI. Teams are smaller and more technical, and the whole team is moving to an AI-native way of building software. That changes who the builders are. They’re no longer just engineers. Now they’re the product managers and designers on each brand team.
We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to own the platform that makes this possible. You’ll own the self-serve front-end layer: components, design systems, templates, content APIs, and creative tooling. With it, a non-technical brand team can build what it has in mind without running into broken technology. And because the next audience is AI agents as well as people, you’ll help decide how content is structured and shown for LLMs and the agentic web.
This is not a back-end infrastructure role, a CMS-operations role, or a feature-factory PM role. It’s also not vibe-coding something and launching it into the ether. It’s about building the base that everyone else builds on.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- You build with AI, not just talk about it. You use AI tools in your own work, you’ve seen how they change the way products get built, and you have opinions about what a platform should look like when anyone can build.
- You’re a platform product thinker. You’ve owned a platform over time and know the difference between building capabilities that get reused and just shipping another feature.
- You know the front end. Your platform work connects directly to what consumers experience, through front-end components, design systems, templates, personalization, creative tooling, or self-serve builders.
- You’re technically fluent. React, Node, GraphQL, content APIs, integrations, and a modern web stack feel familiar. You don’t need to build the APIs yourself. You need to understand how the pieces fit together and how to use them.
- You’re a systems thinker. You can talk strategy with executives, get into the details with product, design, and engineering, and tie it all together. You’ll work closely with a new platform design leader on what gets turned into templates, what gets turned into components, and how to design with taste for an AI-first world.
- You have strong product and UX instincts. Everyone thinks they’re a designer now. They aren’t. You know how to give people room to experiment without losing quality, and you can balance the “art” with the “science.”
- You’re still hands-on. This is a Lead IC role. We’re open to hands-on Senior PMs, Principal PMs, and Directors of Product Management who want to stay close to the work. You have a point of view, you challenge assumptions, and you make decisions.
- You think like a platform owner. Brand product teams, designers, and engineers are your customers, and AI agents are increasingly part of that audience. You build with a service or SaaS mindset so everyone else can move faster.
- You’re curious. Trying things isn’t just allowed here, it’s expected. You’re the person who jumps in, builds something, and makes the process better.
You should take this meeting because …
This isn’t a tech company, and that’s the point. It’s a group of heritage consumer brands going through a big transformation, and the technology team is leading it, with leaders who came from Big Tech. If you want to bring what you know about AI into a place that’s ready for it, this is the job. You’ll set the direction for a self-serve platform used across multiple world-class brands. You’ll help decide how premium content works for AI agents and LLMs. And you’ll keep the ownership of a Lead IC without stepping away from the work. Few roles let you build an AI-native platform with this kind of scale and brand power behind it, so don’t let this one slip away!
