Manager of Trade Compliance – FTZ Wanted at Billion-Dollar Company
Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 base + 8% bonus
Candidates in/near PA, IL, TX, OH, KY, MA are encouraged to apply
Are You the Missing Piece?
This is not a back-office compliance job where you hide behind policies and redlines. This is a high-impact, business-facing trade compliance leadership role. You’ll shape how this growing, highly successful, global organization moves products across borders – legally, efficiently, and strategically.
You’ll run the full trade compliance engine. We’re talking imports, exports, customs strategy, FTZ operations, and duty optimization. Think less “rule enforcer” and more operational architect, embedding compliance directly into supply chain, product development, and logistics decisions that affect cost, speed, and growth.
You’ll partner daily with Supply Chain, Product, Quality, Legal, and Logistics teams, serve as the primary liaison with U.S. Customs and brokers, and lead programs that actively save money while reducing risk. From HTS classification and country-of-origin strategy to duty drawback and FTZ performance, your work will directly influence margin and operational success.
If you like compliance roles where you actually build systems, influence decisions, and make the business better, keep reading.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- 5+ years of hands-on trade compliance experience across import/export and customs operations
- Real Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) ownership experience (admissions, inventory controls, weekly entries, reconciliations, audits, and reporting)
- Deep working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, INCOTERMS, EAR/ITAR, and global product compliance standards
- Experience managing customs brokers and acting as a primary liaison with CBP
- Proven ability to design or improve compliance programs (policies, controls, training, and audits)
- Strong cross-functional influence skills: You can work with operators, lawyers, and product teams without slowing momentum
- A cost-minded lens: Experience with duty mitigation, drawback programs, trade preference programs, or similar savings initiatives
- Bonus points: Licensed Customs Broker or FTZ certification
You should take this meeting because …
This is a real ownership role where you get to impact FTZ operations, duty strategy, and compliance infrastructure that scales with the business. You’ll get visibility across leadership, meaningful cross-functional influence, and the chance to turn compliance into a competitive advantage rather than a constraint.
If you’ve been waiting for a role where your expertise is trusted, your judgment matters, and compliance is treated as a strategic function — not a checkbox — this is one worth exploring. We want to hear from you today!
