Analytics Manager Wanted at Elite Science Org
Pay rate range: $75 to $100 per hour (Full-Time Equivalent Contract Role)
Are You the Missing Piece?
A highly selective, science-focused foundation is looking for an Analytics Manager with strong pipeline and funnel analytics experience tied to highly selective talent programs, fellowships, grants or cohort-based programs, to bring rigor to how they identify and fund the next generation of scientists, engage the public with science-based programs, and reach prospective grant applicants.
This role owns the analytics engine, including funnel analytics, conversion and cohort quality modeling, and channel attribution focused on quality over volume. You’ll generate strategic insights that directly influence recruitment, outreach, and engagement, while also helping bring structure to an evolving data environment by building the analytics foundation as you go.
If you’ve built and optimized applicant funnels, analyzed yield and cohort quality, and optimized digital content for engagement in programs with global impact, this role sits squarely in your wheelhouse.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- Direct experience owning multi-stage pipeline funnels, conversion and yield analytics, cohort quality analysis, and attribution/channel performance reporting
- Proven ability to translate analytics into strategic decisions and actionable insights — not just reporting
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree strongly preferred in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative discipline. Candidates with quantitative undergraduate degrees and deep hands-on admissions analytics experience will also be considered.
- Experience with Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools preferred
- Working knowledge of BigQuery, SQL, and structured data models preferred
- Comfortable building analytical processes and infrastructure in evolving or undefined environments
You should take this meeting because …
This role is ideal for someone who is ready to work in an environment where the value of data-driven decision-making is already deeply understood. They’re looking for someone who thinks in cohorts, not clicks, and who values rigor, discretion, and long-term outcomes over marketing buzzwords. The payoff is meaningful: the work directly influences which scientists receive early support, which ideas gain momentum, and ultimately which scientific fields advance faster as a result. The expectation is that the analytics are every bit as disciplined and thoughtful as the science itself. If you’ve ever wished your analytics work had a more direct, long-term impact, you’re about to get your wish!
