The Hired Guns are building a team of Product Analysts for a major HealthTech / MedTech player based in NYC. If you’re building a career in digital product management, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain terrific work experience without waiting to make your mark.
Nitty Gritty
As a Product Analyst you’ll be the right hand to the Product Owner, and will be not only innovating but driving forward every product roadmap initiative assigned to you, whether patient-focused or enterprise/SaaS-oriented. This prestigious and forward-thinking institution is building apps that allow patients to manage their personal security (identifying caregivers and recording their visits) and environment (lights, shades, temperature) from their bed, where they’ll also control their much-needed entertainment.
Or you might create software that allows a patient to frictionlessly find and book surgeries or follow-up visits, gain access to their patient records and test results, and more. You could even help run this healthcare powerhouse more smoothly by designing dashboards that track KPIs for your audience of senior-level execs.
Empaths will find a great home here, developing products that improve peoples’ lives, whether patients, families or the full gamut of healthcare workers: doctors, nurses, researchers, clinicians. Therefore only the most self-reliant, creative, and accountable people need apply.
You’re joining a fierce team that rewards hard work, ideas and performance above age and “waiting your turn”. From leadership on down, they look for “ability over experience” and “competence over credentials” — which should be a rallying cry for any hungry and clever product manager in the making!
Hired Gun Profile
We’re building out the X-Men of Product Analysts. And like the superheroes, each teammate must have similar DNA and yet a unique super power.
You should have done exceedingly well in school, be it a state college or a “brand name” institution. Ideally, higher ed found you problem solving within complex data sets — which means you could have majored in anything from Behavioral Sciences to Economics to Engineering to Data Science to Comp Science. You spent your early career working inside a technology organization where you served in a building block role such as business analyst, project manager, UX designer, developer, strategist, or beyond. Along the way you’ve picked up a lot of fluency with Tableau or similar business software. Jira experience is a must.
The ideal candidate will have rave reviews from previous managers from their first job for punching about their paygrade, seeking areas to improve and taking responsibility for them with clever, dogged, analytical problem-solving.
