The Hired Guns are looking for a Product Manager to help re-envision the healthcare patient experience for a leading health and hospitals organization. In this long-term contract gig, you’ll have a key role in contributing to patient well-being by breaking bottlenecks and building a more frictionless interface between patient and caregiver.
Nitty Gritty
You’ll be the product management expert joining a rapid-fire multi-functional team that’s making remarkable strides in serving patients and caregivers alike through digital enablement of healthcare delivery. This is no lab exercise: you’ll have an incredible opportunity to take a highly data- and research-driven approach to roadmapping and prioritization. It’ll be your job to work closely with data and analytics to predict where traffic will go, and to prioritize product development effort accordingly.
You’ll be in constant communication with many stakeholders who see things from different perspectives: collaborators from within the tech organization (project management, development, design) but also marketing people, physicians and surgeons, scientists and administrators. You’ll brainstorm with them, then move on to create personas and stories, develop roadmaps, manage backlogs, work on user research and testing, and more.
Hired Gun Profile
You’re not a pure “gee-whiz wouldn’t it be cool if we could” product person. Instead, you gravitate toward a scientific approach: What does the data say? What are the users telling us? You stand out among your peers because you have a clear understanding of the marketing funnel, good instincts for building conversion opportunities, and a high comfort level with digging into the analytics.
Needless to say, your product utility belt comes complete with all the skills: roadmapping, backlog management, sprint management, user stories and requirements writing, A/B testing, user research and testing. You’ve worked on large, complex, CMS-based sites. You’re an SEO expert and a star at devising and analyzing KPIs. You’re adept in the Agile / scrum methodology and are endlessly jazzed by rapid iteration.
Your industry background doesn’t matter, as long as you come from a fast-moving, nimble development organization, whether that’s a startup or a big enterprise with lots of projects underway at once, where you had experience working directly with developers.
You’re self-motivated and a great communicator who loves collaboration but is able to work autonomously. The more you have to tell us about your knowledge of digital marketing and UX design, the better.
Inside Skinny
If your image of healthcare technology is of stodgy, creaky legacy systems, get ready for an attitude adjustment! This place is lean and innovative, with strong management and great cross-functional teamwork. You’ll love working here!
