Well, you’ve been waiting, and here it is. This well-funded startup, which already boasts an impressive stable of talent, is embarking on no less an undertaking than building the financial system of the future — and it’s looking to you to fill a key role on the team; namely, QA Automation Engineer/Infrastructure Systems Analyst — the kind of person who develops the systems monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution processes for the outfit. Hard to overstate just how big an opportunity this is for a well-qualified blockchain pro with financial-services expertise. If that’s you, get onboard this rocket now.
Nitty Gritty
You’ll start by hunkering down alongside the product and tech teams until you understand every aspect of the platform, soup-to-nuts. Then, for all of that and more — hardware systems, databases, client server systems — you and team will build the diagnostic and support tools, and the systems-monitoring processes and techniques. From POC to post-launch, you’ll administer and implement those monitoring, automated data processing, and tech-support systems to make sure all the feeds and functions are flowing smoothly.
You’ll also be an in-house expert on all things blockchain/crypto: When something’s not working, you’re the one they’ll come to in order to figure out why. And you’ll be completely up to date on the very latest and greatest industry developments, thanks to your constant insatiable reading, chatting with peers and attending conferences and other events.
Hired Gun Profile
Clearly, this is not your maiden foray into blockchain. Being ineluctably drawn to emerging technologies (cloud, unified communications, virtual desktops, etc.), you came early to the crypto game, having recognized the tech’s amazing potential, and have been working on decentralized systems for years now, including managing nodes. As it happens, you’ve also spent some time in financial services and/or fintech, so you know your way around electronic trading systems, particularly currency platforms and algos. That broad experience of yours has given you exposure to infrastructure architecture and to security applications such as RSA. When it comes to your tools of the trade, the list is long and varied: Windows, Unix, iOS, Android, go-ethereum, Node.js, Python, Spring, Hibernate, Git, Rust, Javascript — well, you get the idea; there isn’t much out there that you don’t know how to use.
As for your personality, you’re an excellent communicator and an actual, noticeable team-oriented kind of person, ready to fill in gaps and make connections and do a little dirty work as needed to get an exciting company up and soaring.
Inside Skinny
This gig is really for somebody who’s thrilled — and equipped — to occupy that frontier space between traditional securities-trading models and the blockchain. So come prepared to share your thoughts on the challenges of that place in the market.

No foolin’, this company stands a good chance of becoming a centerpiece of the financial landscape in the years to come, and this position will be highly visible and influential. Can’t really beat that.
