Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 base per year + uncapped bonus potential

This industry-leading e-commerce company, the nation’s largest distributor of professional public safety equipment, is looking for a Regional Business Development Executive to deliver consistent year-on-year revenue, margin growth, and increased market share for PPE turnout gear products. We are looking for someone who has experience selling into fire departments in any part of the country.
In this role, you will negotiate long-term and repeatable supplier contracts, with responsibility for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for sales goals in your defined geographical region. Plus, you’ll deliver all presentations to prospective customers and work collaboratively with the Business Development and Sales teams to develop and execute a winning sales plan.
Yes, this is a very niche role: If you have existing relationships with fire departments, this is definitely a great gig for you, with the opportunity for enormous growth. Not to mention, you will have a corporate credit card, a car allowance, and you can expect to travel 50% of the time depending on what you and the VP of Sales strategically decide (travel expectation is 4 field-based selling days and 1 office day per week). Oh, and there’s uncapped bonus potential. Need we say more?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
We’re looking for a dynamic individual with a very special pedigree: An outside sales rep with PPE turnout equipment sales experience and relationships in the fire safety space. Plus, you must have 5 or more years of sales, business development, direct marketing, territory management, and/or product sourcing experience. You must be able to deliver sales presentations with confidence. You’re tech-savvy with strong MS Office knowledge, familiarity with CRM products, and an aptitude for learning proprietary systems. You’re able to define and delegate appropriate work assignments to designated internal support teams with ease. Finally, you’re considered a valued partner by your customers and an expert in building profitable and efficient customer purchasing models.
