The Hired Guns are seeking a super-savvy Senior Event Marketing Manager to run nationwide events from conception to execution for the world’s premier digital performance rights organization.

This national non-profit has made a name for itself for being the sole organization designated by the U.S. Congress to help musical artists and entertainers in their quest to get paid fairly for their work. As in-person events return, they’re looking for a Senior Event Marketing Manager to lead, develop and execute event and experiential strategies that help drive meaningful engagement and loyalty. In this role, you will help run high-profile events at big-ticket conferences — think SXSW, Cannes, etc. — from conception to execution. You’ll ideate and create unique branded events, proprietary experiences and stunts that are fresh, unique, relevant, and drive brand affinity. You’ll steer the entire project lifecycle — event vision, concept, budgets, vendor and sponsorship negotiation, creative, execution, and promotion plans. Plus, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the marketing department to develop winning paid-media plans and coordinate promotion.

How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You’re passionate about the music business and have your finger on the pulse of all big-name music-related industry events. Ideally, you have 4+ years of event marketing/agency experience, preferably within the digital music/entertainment space. Not only are you a seasoned events manager with project management experience, but you also have a significant marketing background, including paid digital and social media experience. You have a knack for creative and out-of-the-box campaign ideation. B2B and B2C event marketing experience and project ownership are must-haves, as is a talent for developing 360 marketing plans that promote high-profile events where absolutely everything must go right. You’re a self-starter with an independent work style. Oh, and you love to travel for work; this position requires plenty of domestic travel — frequent flyer miles abound!
