The Hired Guns are seeking a Senior Implementation Specialist to spearhead the execution of multiple projects related to data and analytics, starting with the tagging efforts for an enterprise Adobe Analytics implementation. You’ll be joining a well-known retail brand that’s surging to best-in-class in e-commerce and brick-and-mortar experiences.
The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the organization and why they need to hire you!
As the Senior Implementation Specialist, you’ll work closely with the engineering and analytics teams to determine their data needs, then work cross-functionally to provide tracking requirements, technical direction, domain expertise, and feasibility analysis for digital analytics tracking. As the enterprise adopts Adobe Analytics as their platform, you’ll own tagging stories for projects spanning across multiple domains, communicating proactively to analyze, define and design the technical implementation for Analytics Tags across the site.
Post-deployment, you’ll provide guidance to engineering teams and seek ways to optimize ongoing processes. You’ll plan and execute thorough user acceptance testing, track issues, and monitor delivery to ensure consistency. Every day will be a challenge as you juggle multiple initiatives, but you thrive on just that kind of energy.
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
The must-have for the role is in-depth experience (three to five years’ worth) with Adobe Analytics, Coremetrics, or Google Analytics. Ideally, you have a deep understanding of Tealium or a similar tagging management system and have analyzed, defined, and designed the technical implementation of analytics tags for a large website. It’s a huge plus, but not required, if you’ve earned some of that experience at a large retailer with both online and offline presence. You’ve got a technical or quantitative degree (master’s a plus) and are adept with SQL and Javascript.
Beyond the technical chops, you understand the context in which these tools are being used, have an understanding of the customer journey, and have a view on what data should be collected in the process. You’re a strong communicator who can negotiate timelines with project teams to balance their needs with that of stakeholders across merchandising and analytics. You’ll also be in charge of implementing tracking stories, partnering with analytics to identify key test strategies.
