A very cool TV outfit is looking for a very cool analytics pro to help track and report on its myriad digital properties, across web, social, mobile, and syndication channels. It’s an opportunity to really help move the needle at a company that’s turning heads in the entertainment world.
Nitty Gritty
Using your plentiful kit full of web analytics tools, you’ll keep a hawk-sharp eye on the company’s digital goings-on, and provide a constant stream of insights into what’s working, what’s growing, who’s viewing, who’s buying, and all that sort of thing. You’ll be counted on to provide traffic projections that business heads can plug into their long-range planning and ROI forecasts; you’ll give concrete, data-based suggestions to the product and content teams about how to keep the digital platforms growing; you’ll pitch in on research efforts to support digital initiatives; and you’ll even do some collaborating with the ad sales people.
SEM/SEO will fall under your remit, too, as in overseeing and directing campaigns and making sure best practices are being followed.
Hired Gun Profile
You’re five years into this digital analytics thing, enjoying every minute of it. You’ve messed with all kinds of tools, all the way from Google and Omniture on down through Piwik and AT Internet and NetInsight – point being that you know what works and can easily reach for the right tool for the job. You’re very commercial, with an inborn sympathy for business goals and the need for business cases, and you always ply your trade with such considerations in mind. You can point to an impressive track record of having had a hand in the strong growth of digital platforms. And you’re quite comfortable collaborating with colleagues in several departments simultaneously.
