Senior Manager of Global Product, Trade & Regulatory Compliance (FTZ) Wanted!
Comp range: $120,000 to $150,000 base per year plus 20% bonus
Are You the Missing Piece?
This is not a “sit in the corner and say no” compliance role. This is a front-line, business-critical leadership seat where you own product safety, global trade, FTZ operations, and social compliance. It will be your mission to help shape where and how this billion-dollar global distributor sources, builds, and sells its products.
You’ll lead a seasoned compliance team, partner daily with product, sourcing, legal, and warehouse operations, and work directly with overseas factories to solve real-world challenges, from tariffs and country-of-origin strategy to Prop 65 and ethical sourcing. With regular exposure to the CMO, CFO, and CEO, this role has real influence, real visibility, and real strategic weight. It’s a good look for 2026, we promise!
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- 7+ years of deep, hands-on experience across product compliance + trade compliance + import/export + customs (this is non-negotiable)
- Proven Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) leadership — not theoretical; you’ve actually run admissions, inventory controls, weekly entries, audits, and reporting
- Strong regulatory fluency (U.S. Customs, HTS classification, INCOTERMS, EAR/ITAR, CPSC, FDA, UL, EPA, etc.)
- Real social compliance experience — factory audits, corrective action plans, and supplier accountability across global sourcing networks
- People leadership — you’ve managed at least 1–2 direct reports (this role leads a team of 5 + dotted-line global partners)
- Business-minded judgment — you know how to communicate risk without blocking the business, balancing the letter of the law with commercial reality
- Bonus points if you’ve navigated tariff strategy, country-of-origin shifts, or duty mitigation in a volatile trade environment
You should take this meeting because …
This role sits at the intersection of compliance, strategy, and growth. You’ll have a direct line to the executive team, influence sourcing decisions that materially impact margin and risk, and exposure to best practices across multiple product categories and industries.
If you’ve ever wanted a compliance role where your expertise is trusted, visible, and essential—and where you’re expected to help the business win, not just stay safe—this is it!
