The Hired Guns are seeking a Senior Producer, Digital Content to jump into a highly challenging role at a top-ranked medical institution with a massive digital presence.
Nitty Gritty
You’ll be joining a close-knit and collaborative team of highly dedicated people that communicate clearly and concisely, love problem solving, and take great pride in their work. The projects and pace can be demanding, and that’s why individuals who are inquisitive, quick-learning self-starters do extremely well here.
You’ll be tasked with driving content production on this medical center’s patient-focused websites, their academic research sites, and the digital signage used throughout all of their locations. Given the fact that it’s a healthcare institution, accuracy and attention to detail are mission critical.
You’ll need hands-on experience with enterprise-level content management systems — especially Drupal — and a production manager’s mindset. A question you might get in this interview is: “If we need to move 615 press releases from one CMS to another, how would you build out the timeline and communicate it, how many people would you need, and on what day and time would the train need to leave the station by to accomplish everything on deadline?”
You’ll drive all programs and projects through JIRA to assign and track tasks across the team.
Hired Gun Profile
This is a great opportunity if you’re a content producer who’s ready to move up to senior producer. Or if you’re already a senior producer, but want to move to a bigger pond with more activity and variety, and the bonus of making people healthier every day through the work you do.
You must have hands-on content production experience in a fast-paced environment with strong accountability and demanding stakeholders. A healthcare background is a big plus, but not essential, as long as you’ve booked extensive time producing massive amounts of content at scale. Think big media companies, cultural institutions, higher education, or ecommerce platforms.
You don’t need to be an official “manager” with direct reports. The important thing is that you have managed large-scale content projects and guided the efforts of multiple people to achieve successful results. You’re a leader who can structure big projects into constituent tasks, as well as roll up your sleeves to do a chunk of the work yourself.
Inside Skinny
Your tales of glory should involve massive content migrations, launches and relaunches, and replatforming across multiple and complex content management systems. But you didn’t do it alone: you outlined, communicated, and planned a timeline. Nice-to-haves include experience managing redirects and UAT.
