The Hired Guns are seeking a digital content producer who can contribute substantially to the creation of digital signage and web content for a top-ranked medical institution. If you know your way around project management software and a variety of content management systems — and like working with people as much as with programs — this may be your gig.
Hired Gun Profile
You are an experienced digital creator with a serious knack for developing innovative solutions to communication needs. Specifically, you’ve worked in digital signage for several years now (perhaps at an agency), long enough to learn the tools of the trade – Jira, WordPress, Drupal, Visix AxisTV and the like. Not only do you help companies communicate well, you yourself are a talented interpersonal and professional communicator. Your ability to lead through collaboration is key, as is your capacity to keep your equilibrium in a fast-paced environment. Whether you’re interacting with executives, technical colleagues, consultants or vendors, you put people at their ease and make yourself understood.
When you come on board, you’ll be joining forces with the editorial, visual and technical teams that currently produce the institution’s digital signage. They’ll be eager to hear your good ideas about strategic placement of signs, timing of messages and (of course) message content. Once you get going on creating that content, you’ll set to work in a CMS generating high-quality, creative, accurate material. Part of your job will be reviewing the placements to perform quality control and ensure that they’re being presented correctly.
But it’s not all signage all the time: Your sharp eye and wordsmithing will also be leveraged by the digital editorial team to create and edit content for the organization’s websites. Expect to spend just less than half your time on that aspect of your work.
You’ll certainly have a leg up if you’ve done this kind of work for a healthcare company in the past. And, if you’ve spent time in a newsroom environment, we’d like to read all about it.
We think this is a very smart move for a digital content pro who’s looking for a long-term position with serious growth potential at a powerhouse of a company.
