The Hired Guns are seeking a professional, polished, experienced Senior Project Manager, Construction and Real Estate to coordinate the work, resources, and communication process for projects within a busy, high-end construction management group.
The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the organization and why they need to hire you!
One of the top contracting and commercial real estate companies in NYC — they provide full-service construction management and general contracting to some of the largest global tech, retail, non-profit, media, finance, and hospitality companies — needs a Senior Project Manager to join their thriving team. PMs here work closely with the architect and engineer to review floor plans and project schedules, coordinate the work and communication of field personnel and oversee large-scale and high-budget construction projects from start to finish. You will create teams, develop the objectives and goals of each project, and assign individual responsibilities as well as oversee project accounting functions, including managing the budget, tracking of team expenses, and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You are a seasoned project manager, engineer, architect, or subcontractor with 8+ years of experience looking to take on more responsibility (and earn more money!) working in large-scale construction management. You have a B.A. in architecture, engineering, or construction management (a postgraduate degree is an added bonus) and have spent at least 5 years working in project management in a leadership role.
You are a highly professional, polished manager with excellent communication skills. You stay cool (and perhaps even perform better) under pressure while managing clients with ease. As a hyper-organized planner, you can effectively manage teams, multi-task, and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Your natural leadership skills mean you have a history of motivating, leading, and raising the morale of teams while keeping a strong focus on quality. Thorough knowledge of contracts and safety standards and the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings are essential.
The Inside Skinny
Why you should quit your job right now and join this organization!
This senior-level role with a competitive salary package involves high-level estimating, scheduling, and project management on a day-to-day basis. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, experienced team of experts in the field of renovation, commercial office, critical system installs, and infrastructure upgrades.
