The company wants a strong editorial leader with experience translating data into action to oversee brand growth for the digital re-imaginings of their national publications — including an iconic and highly-successful magazine title. You’ll be charged with solving problems, creating structure, and teaching the team about best practices for digital growth, including evangelizing for SEO, paid search, paid social, and the entire gamut of digital growth tools and metrics.
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You’re a veteran digital content leader with experience working in editorial, marketing, and social media at a varied portfolio of media brands ranging from startup to well-established.
You have the scrappiness of a startup vet, the marketing savvy of a CMO, and the editorial chops of a seasoned editor. You’re someone who can look at separate pieces of content and see clearly how to package them in a monetizable fashion for a devoted audience. Experience working with both digital and non-digital editors is a must, as is comfort and confidence holding a leadership role. You know how to engage with and influence C-Suite execs while also managing and mentoring support staff to get results. You’re looking to be part of growing and defining a publishing brand in the media and tech space as they prepare to go public.
