To convert that data ocean into profits, they’re looking for an experienced VP of Data Engineering to design and implement the next version of this company’s integrated data platform. You’ll own the overall vision and deployment of analytical solutions that will enable the company’s data science, ML/AI, and BI capabilities. Key to your success will be establishing collaborative relationships with business partners, BI, data science, and technology teams. How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You have a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in data engineering or software engineering, with hands-on experience implementing and managing data lakes, cloud data warehouses, and ELT. Experience with Databricks, Amazon AWS, and Google Cloud platforms is essential. The ideal candidate has experience uniting data into a centralized platform and making it accessible to the wider organization. You’re a natural leader, and you’ve managed and led data engineers and software developers in the past. You have extensive experience working with data science, BI, and product teams and empowering them to deliver at a fast pace. Agile is your native habitat, and you’re excited to own the entire data process from start to finish for a major media company.
