This Hired Guns client, a daily deals site that’s the specialist in the beauty category, is looking for a Web Analyst. This fast-growing company is in one of the hottest sectors of the digital industry (even Mr. Zuckerberg is getting into the game).
We need an eager, entrepreneurial gun who is a major mathlete. Since this client is already breaking new rules here, we’re very open to a self-starter who knows their way around web tracking tools like Google Analytics. We’d also love someone who’s a stats jock, enjoys data mining, and knows a thing or two about SAS, SPSS, etc. You are comfortable interpreting data and can be relied on to develop thorough, error-free reports. Your ability to zoom through pivot tables in Excel is a pretty good indicator of your competency here. If you’re a quick study with a knack for story-telling through data, then our client will get you the training to fill any gaps. Major bonus points if you have web analytics experience in B2C e-commerce business or online lead generation. Tell us about any knowledge of basic SQL you’ve acquired as well.
As this company’s Web Analyst, you’ll be responsible for measuring and optimizing customer acquisition tactics and marketing programs and providing recommendations to the executive team. You will focus on traffic patterns and online marketing efforts via Google Analytics, helping to optimize marketing efforts and improve the website.
By analyzing data, driving testing and making recommendations, you will continuously improve the performance of all marketing communication methods, including daily deal e-mails and online customer acquisition programs. You’ll monitor website performance, traffic patterns, and user trends closely and provide optimization recommendations there as well. Plan to help establish the business value of online marketing methods and customer acquisition programs within existing and new territories, assist with development and management of SEM- and SEO-related initiatives, develop behaviorally-based targeting profiles, and select customized content for these profiles.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy — and it just gives Jane a dull complexion. This is a tight-knit group, and “fit” is going to matter if you want to enter their ranks. This is a high-profile start-up, offering generous bonuses, great opportunities for advancement, and potential for equity.
You’ll need to be more than skin deep to turn heads around here: ambitious, fun to work with, and obsessively interested in all things analytics.
