Are You the Missing Piece?
True crime has the kind of fans who don’t just watch – they binge, dissect, and obsess. A leading podcast network is ready to give fans more to chew on, but they need a YouTube Channel Manager to help turn their addictive audio into can’t-look-away video.
As the very first YouTube Channel Manager at this growing media company, you’ll be the architect of channel growth: experimenting with Shorts, finessing livestreams, A/B testing thumbnails, and making sure every piece of content hits harder than the last. Think turning addictive audio into must-watch video, growing subscribers like crazy, and keeping your finger on the pulse of platform trends before anyone else even hears the rumor.
This is a full-time, in-person gig in Indianapolis or NYC—so if you’re ready to bring stories to life on-screen and turn casual scrollers into die-hard fans, keep reading.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- Channel wizardry: At least 2 years running and growing YouTube channels, ideally in a digital media, entertainment, or podcasting environment.
- Analytical edge: You live for metrics like CTR, watch time, and subscriber growth, and you know how to move the needle (proven track record – we’re talking numbers here).
- Optimization guru: Titles, tags, descriptions, SEO…you’ve mastered the unsexy but essential details that drive discoverability.
- Content alchemy: You can spot the clip, soundbite, or moment that’ll crush as a Short or reel.
- Trend hawk: You’re the person who already knows about the next YouTube feature before the rest of us.
- Cross-Collab energy: You thrive working across marketing, production, and social to bring campaigns to life.
You should take this meeting because …
This isn’t just about running a channel; it’s about owning the strategy that will define how millions of true crime fans experience stories on YouTube. You’ll be joining a passionate, high-output creative team that values empathy, advocacy, and content that matters. Great base salary, bonus incentives, 401(k) with match, comprehensive benefits, generous PTO, leadership development, and a culture that takes mental health seriously. If you’re ready to combine your YouTube obsession with content that actually makes an impact, stop scrolling because you’ve found your next gig! Get in touch with us today. This will likely go fast!
