The Hired Guns are seeking a strategic, self-directed AI enthusiast (meaning you know a lot about artificial intelligence, what its potential is, and how to use the best-known tools that are out there; we’re not looking for a developer). If that sounds like you, then you could be the first Artificial Intelligence Associate to join a scaling crowdsourced technology platform that delivers clever and original creative content to businesses small and large.
Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year
- Serve as the company’s in-house expert and blue-sky AI thinker
- Open the eyes of the editorial team and the business side of the organization to the possibilities of AI
- Define your own job description as the first person to occupy this role
The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the company and why they need to hire you!
This innovative online platform provides custom creative content on demand. As you can well imagine, given all the buzz surrounding AI and editorial right now, this company is trying to stay ahead of the times. They recently partnered with an AI consultancy (a best-in-class global AI NLP player), and now they’re looking to hire their first in-house AI guru (that’s you!) to liaise with said partner and be the primary point of contact with them.
As Artificial Intelligence Associate, you will have two simultaneous lenses: big picture, to ruminate on where this company’s platform can go using AI, and ground-level, to learn best practices and protocols and apply them to the company’s day-to-day operations. You’ll research capabilities across providers to inform the long-term vision for AI and update your knowledge continuously to keep abreast of new developments in the space. And you’ll conduct research and propose ways to most effectively integrate AI into the company’s current offerings to increase efficiency, margin, and quality.
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You’ve had your eye on the AI space for a while. And now you know more about ChatGPT, Bard, Bing AI, Dall-E, and other tools than anyone else you know. You’re probably not a computer scientist or programmer. Instead, you’re most likely somewhere on the editorial or creative side, with a keen interest in creative content generation and an appreciation for editorial standards. Far from hiding your head in the sand, you know in your bones that AI is here to stay, and you have some interesting ideas about how it could change the content world—for the better.
On top of all that, you have a start-up mentality and love to take initiative. It excites you to teach others and then brainstorm with them, you can speak to technical and non-technical audiences with equal ease and clarity, and you’re keen to build a career within a successful creative organization.
The Inside Skinny
Why you should quit your job right now and join this team!
If you’re someone who’s curious about the relationship between AI and editorial decision-making, and you love to nerd out on emergent technology trends, then this is indeed the gig for you. Not to mention, you get to help the world’s leading creative writing platform reach new levels of success. It’s a good look.
