Salary range: C$56,000 to C$63,000 per year (Canadian Dollars)

This two-billion-dollar market leader in the personalized products space is looking for an Assistant Buyer to play an important role within their Product Development team helping bring products to life. In this role you will assist the Category Manager in launching new apparel products while also supporting the full life cycle of the assortment. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, planning and engineering to ensure that all commercialization and management of products goes smoothly. This includes sample management, maintaining data integrity, creating reports, data analysis and contributing to the creative process through brainstorms and category research.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of experience in product development, merchandising, planning or other related field. To do this job right, you must be passionate about product development and the creative process and have the courage to think outside the box. It goes without saying that you have a strong analytical skill set and the ability to effectively analyze sales data. You can contribute to the creative process, and you have an interest in the latest trends in fashion and technology.
You’re self-directed, but also a collaborative team player. You must be computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and have exceptional written, oral and presentation skills. You exhibit high levels of flexibility and professionalism in extremely fast-paced environments, and you have the ability to influence and work through cross-functional teams without formal authority.
