The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the company and why they need to hire you!
This national media group houses dynamic digital destinations covering sports, lifestyle, and personal finance, garnering millions of views a day. In response to their rapid expansion and success, they’re looking for an astute individual to swoop in and take on a double-pronged role as Audience Development and Analytics Manager. In this role, you will organize data, make sense of it, and recognize and replicate successful media patterns (note, SEO experience is very important). You will work with different stakeholders and be a true team player. You’ll build dashboards and work tightly with product managers and UX on the conversion funnel. You’ll help reduce friction by ideating around how to create more time on product pages in order to help viewers hit the conversion funnel. You’ll also be involved in all analysis and guide the team to look at data differently (i.e. you won’t just churn out reports, you’ll interpret and create conversions around the data).
This is a powerhouse role, and you will have the eyes and ears of the CEO. Yes, that means your work will get a lot of attention and recognition! Plus, you’ll be joining an incredibly supportive and talented team at one of the most esteemed media conglomerates in the U.S.!
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You speak the language of media, metrics, and SEO with absolute fluency. You have a minimum of four years of experience in analytics and audience development, preferably within the media landscape. You’re not a straight-up analytics robot: you are also a dynamic individual with rich experience in both paid and organic growth. It goes without saying that you’re deeply knowledgeable when it comes to SEO trends and best practices. You have an analyst background — SQL chops are a must — and you have the wattage to interpret and create conversations about data. A keen understanding of social is a bonus. You have a great wealth of knowledge around media, you’re up-to-date on all the current industry trends, and you’re excited to join an influential media giant where your work will make an impact.
