Salary range: $89,000 to $143,000 per year

This two-billion-dollar market leader in the personalized products space is looking for a hard-goods-focused Category Manager to take full ownership of growth and fulfill sales performance objectives for one or more hard-goods categories. In this role, you will actively manage the introduction of new products to support sales, margin, turn and ROI goals. You’ll manage cross-functional teams to drive innovative product launches. Finally, you will develop and manage category-level plans that dovetail with the company’s strategic and financial direction – ensuring that SKUs are “PO Ready” and that margin targets and investment hurdles are attained. How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in product development or category management. To excel in this role you must have product development / strategy experience managing an assortment, and you must be able to make strategic business decisions. Note, it’s okay if you don’t have hard-goods experience; perhaps you have category experience in a subset, such as apparel, grocery, stationery – you get the point.
You must have experience in trend identification as well as deep knowledge around how to quantify the size of a potential opportunity. Plus, you can identify commercial trends and competitive opportunities, and translate them into a strategy that you can successfully execute (It’s great if you have a story around this from a previous job – just saying).
Note: you must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, including both domestic and international travel.
