Salary range: $110,000 to $125,000 per year

Since 1998, this nationally renowned org has provided leadership and support to consumer organizations, policymakers and foundations, working to ensure that America’s healthcare system serves everyone – especially historically marginalized communities. Selected by MacKenzie Scott to receive a generous one-time gift of $25 million, this healthcare advocacy org is now poised for significant growth and rebranding in 2023. And that’s where you come in:
They’re looking for an advocacy-focused strategic-leader-meets-digital-storyteller to take them to the next level. As Digital Director, you’ll envision and execute a winning multipronged digital strategy that will propel their work on race equity and health justice to new heights. One of your first initiatives will be to lead a total digital rebrand and overhaul their existing website. Your big, bold vision will help them create a grassroots voice for change as you champion a team of 2-3 strategists to support you in these efforts. You’ll lead the creative development process that brings to life the story of this org’s work and the people behind it. It will be imperative that you translate the complexities of this organization’s work into an engaging narrative that invites supporters on the journey with them. Not to mention, you will need to know their audiences better than anyone, designing engagement programs with the messages and tactics that build relationships for the long-term.

Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 years working on digital programs (ideally for a non-profit, advocacy organization, campaign or agency). You have deep experience developing and executing digital engagement or advocacy campaigns in an established non-profit, agency and/or political environment. You know your way around digital, and you have an implicit story sense. Perhaps you’ve worked primarily on 1-2 paid media channels, but you’re ready to think holistically about the digital landscape. It’s great if you’ve led a website overhaul. Experience developing messaging and communications strategy that engages, persuades and mobilizes supporters on behalf of a cause is a must. It’s ok if you haven’t managed direct reports, but you should possess a desire to lead and build out a team beneath you. Familiarity with work management tools and systems, like Airtable, Notion or Asana is helpful. You must have a detailed understanding of digital engagement platforms (we use EveryAction, Mailchimp and WordPress, among others) and familiarity with social media management tools like Agorapulse, Sprout Social or similar. Bonus points if you have a shared passion for creating change and advocating for health justice in the USA!
