This greatly respected women’s apparel company is looking to add to its digital marketing team; specifically, it needs somebody who’s made something of a specialty of campaign analysis and optimization for a robust ecommerce effort. If that sounds like you — if you’ve got years of campaign development work under your belt and are looking for an opportunity to put those skills to work at a company where that sort of thing is greatly valued, this is your chance.
Nitty Gritty
Whether it’s paid social, email, display, SEO, affiliate, or digital analytics, you’ll be there with your Optimization hat on, providing tactical support and execution. You’ll analyze paid-search campaigns and suggest ways to optimize them through changes to ad copy, keywords, targeting and bidding. You’ll oversee the creation and development of campaigns and monitor their daily spend. You’ll perform SEO keyword analysis. You’ll capture feedback on digital marketing assets and manage copy development, including proofing of content and testing links and tags.
A lot of your work will be about tracking and organizing work artifacts: making sure digital creative assets are flowing smoothly between the various sets of hands, managing vendor invoices, tracking budgets and monitoring product feeds.
Hired Gun Profile
The five-plus years you’ve spent in digital marketing have given you really broad experience: you know a thing or two about web A/B testing, SEO, email (ESP), paid media, site optimization, and digital analytics. You’ve been responsible for managing and optimizing the performance of digital marketing channels. You’re best pals with both Google and Excel (and can even do neat tricks with them involving pivot tables, dashboards and other such complexities).
You’re a fine communicator and collaborative worker, but when it comes right down to basics, you think of yourself primarily as an analytical, strategic problem-solver. Interrogating data, synthesizing findings and being able to communicate your insights; those are the things that really set you apart from the great milling herd.
Inside Skinny
It would be great if you could talk about times you’ve deployed your analytical chops at the meta level, as in optimizing your own team’s reporting and analytics efforts.
Net Net
We think this is a great opportunity for an analytical type to fill an important niche at a company that’s bent on doing digital marketing the right way.
