Customer-Obsessed Head of Product Wanted at Global Media Org
Salary range: $170,000 to $190,000 per year
Are You the Missing Piece?
This beloved global digital media company sits at the intersection of fashion, culture, and design. Think … the luxe life.
In 2025, they’re building something new—and big. They’re rethinking how editorial content is discovered, consumed, and monetized across a highly engaged audience. And that’s where you come in: They’re searching for a customer-obsessed, analytically-minded Director of Digital Product Management to lead this next chapter of their product evolution.
This is not a passive leadership role. You’ll be in the weeds, rolling up your sleeves to drive product strategy, experimentation, and execution across a content-forward ecosystem. You’ll oversee UX, collaborate closely with editorial, lead design conversations, and partner cross-functionally to get big bets out the door. Your mission: build exceptional digital experiences that reflect the voice, taste, and obsessions of a fashion-conscious luxury lifestyle audience—whether that’s through beautifully designed pages, smarter social integrations, or AI-powered personalization.
If you’re the kind of person who dreams in hypotheses, obsesses over incrementality testing, and thinks SQL is a love language, please keep reading.
What’s it going to take to score an interview?
- First and foremost, you’re OBSESSED with customers. Not just in a theoretical way. You’re constantly digging into user behavior, running experiments, and building hypotheses from data. You ask “why?” five times before breakfast.
- You’ve built products that work—and you can prove it. This team is looking for someone who has built things that mattered. Case studies welcome.
- You’ve led cross-functional product orgs in a media/publishing environment, and you understand the editorial landscape. You’ve successfully led product in a content-heavy media/editorial landscape. Bonus points if you’ve worked inside a modern newsroom or major publisher.
- You understand the business side of product. You’re fluent in ROI, you can build out business cases from scratch, and think about scale with every test you run.
- AI is in your toolbox. You’ve played around with AI tools, have shipped something AI-adjacent, or at the very least, you think deeply about how to integrate it into user experience.
- You’re a hustler. You can do a lot with a little, you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed, and you don’t wait for direction.
- You know how to prioritize. You bring a strong POV on what moves the needle, and you’re comfortable saying no.
- You’ve got a great eye for design. Maybe you didn’t go to fashion school—but you know good taste when you see it. You care deeply about building elegant, intuitive products.
- You’re extremely organized and communicative. You have to be. You’ll be working across departments, teams, and time zones to make things happen.
- If SQL is in your DNA, major plus. You know how to dig through data on your own, find bugs, identify patterns, and generate insights without waiting on someone else.
- You are unbothered about being in the office in NYC 3-5 times a week. This is a non-negotiable. So, if you want a fully remote job, or can’t commit to this, then this is not the gig for you.
You should take this meeting because …
You’ll be building products for a real, loyal audience alongside some of the sharpest minds in digital publishing—editors, designers, and strategists who know how to create cultural impact. This is your chance to bring experimentation, analytics, and user obsession into a creative, high-stakes environment with autonomy and a big mandate. If you want to shape the future of storytelling at the intersection of fashion, tech, and media, this is the place. Get in touch with us today!
