The Hired Guns are seeking a customer-obsessed retail leader to be Director of Strategy, Luxury Retail and drive the evolution of differentiated and elevated selling teams at a famous luxury omnichannel retailer.
Salary range: $120,000 to $160,000 per year, plus bonus

Are you fluent in the Language of Luxury? Do you have experience with both in-store retail and corporate-level strategy? Are you shopper-obsessed? If so, the role of Director of Strategy, Luxury Retail is perfect for you!
The position works cross-functionally to own and drive the Personal Shopping/Styling strategy. You know what luxury buyers want, and you’re able to lead the experience (like pop-ups and other activations). You will be responsible for defining and establishing objectives, KPIs, experience, tools, training needs, and marketing initiatives to drive growth.
Note, This isn’t just an office job—the right candidate also has some in-store retail experience in their background.

To do this job right, you must have a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant work experience in luxury retail, client development, and/or omnichannel leadership and have a passion for delighting customers and developing luxury experiences.
The ideal candidate is adept at working with merchants, vendors and stores to plan and execute pop-up luxury activations. You have great client-facing skills and a track record of developing client outreach strategies and connecting shoppers, stylists and their clients to these exclusive experiences. You think like a customer and embody a customer-centric mindset that drives not only strategy development, but also customer advocacy with cross-functional partners. You have a high level of creativity, independence, and confidence. Not to mention, you can act as a change agent implementing new and evolved strategies and excite partners to bring these to life for their customers. You’re a great leader and you can balance both leading a team and influencing stakeholders with or without direct reporting authority.
The ability to travel and work a flexible schedule is a must, so you can spend time in stores with colleagues and customers. Exceptionally high communications ability, including presentations, and excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), are required.
