The Hired Guns are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Email Marketing Specialist for the fundraising and development arm of one of the nation’s most prestigious medical centers.
The Nitty Gritty
The backstory on the organization and why they need to hire you!
A renowned NYC-based healthcare institution is looking for a capable self-starter to join their growing digital team as Email Marketing Specialist. In this role, you will execute stellar email campaigns (it goes without saying that you’re a MailChimp expert) and effectively reach a highly specific audience of current and potential donors to the institution. You’ll work closely with the marketing, operations, and content teams to send out multiple marketing emails per week. While you won’t write the content, you will be the final set of eyes on everything to make sure campaign emails are formatted correctly and segmentation is configured correctly. Note: This is a contract position with full time hours, but there’s a ton of room for growth within this esteemed organization as well as the potential for full-time staff hire if you deliver exceptional performance—aka this job is a good look and a good in!
Why You?
How you’ll know if you’re a fit…
You’re excited about email as a channel, you consider yourself an email marketing wiz, and using MailChimp on-the-daily is a breeze for you (experience with Blackbaud is a plus). You have 2-6 years of email marketing experience and you’re comfortable working within large institutions. You get a rush from turning out multiple marketing emails a week. You have a good solid handle on audience segmentation and know how to implement segmentations that meet stakeholder objectives. Fundraising, donor relations, or development experience is a plus, but by no means essential. You’re ego-less, self-sufficient, and bring a detail-oriented lens to everything you do. You thrive in a chaotic environment, juggling multiple work streams and enjoy the art of communication. Oh, and it’s in your nature to be incredibly organized — project management skills are vital here.
The Inside Skinny
Why you should quit your job right now and join this organization!

Start simple and soon your career will be soaring at this leading healthcare organization. If this sounds like a win-win, we want to hear from you ASAP.
