The Hired Guns are seeking a motivated and resourceful Front-End Developer who enjoys working on teams to join a fast-growing player in AdTech. You should have fairly recent experience working at a publisher, a SaaS-based marketing-tech company, or an ad-tech player working on the Supply-side (SSP). Ideally, you’ve coded extensively in WordPress (or another CMS). A college degree is required, and a CS or similar major preferred. If you have design and UX chops, don’t hold back, they will be appreciated here.
Salary range: $90,000 to $100,000 per year
What You’ll Do
This AdTech Player builds industry-leading tools and technology designed to to maximize revenue and performance for all sorts of publishers across multiple categories, including sports, how-to sites, business, and news. This company is experiencing rapid success and scale, and you’ll be joining a 5-person engineering team as their Front-End Developer.
Your Toolkit
- Collaboration: Git
- CMS: WordPress (what they currently use), Drupal or even a homegrown CMS; Having a working knowledge of WordPress Gutenberg Editor—especially the creation and maintenance of custom blocks for unique site needs—is a major plus.
- Front-end languages—React.js, ANGULAR, jQuery, Javascript
- HTML5, CSS3
- PHP
- Responsive frameworks (Foundation, Bootstrap)
- AdTech: It’s great if you have a background integrating or working with ad-serving technologies (prebid, DFPP)
How you’ll know you’re a fit
You have a strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit. You’re a natural when it comes to context switching and can quickly roll with the punches when client priorities shift. You have a proven track record of working for content-rich publishers and are skilled at making them easy to use and navigate—all while adhering to design standards and specifications. You can easily solve coding problems using pattern recognition and are well-attuned to user experience. You have experience creating and integrating custom wordpress plugins, themes, working with WordPress hooks and filters. Strong knowledge of common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions is necessary.
